In June Tim's friend Andrew came to visit us for a week. It was a lot of fun to have him here and he and Tim had tons of fun together. One of the things we did was go to the Dragon Festival in Chinatown.
It was mostly just a lot of vendors and then they had a stage where they had different groups perform. There were a couple of different martial arts demonstrations which were okay, however most of them were done by kids so it was cute, but not too impressive.
But then they had the drumline from the Seattle Seahawks which is the football team here. They were amazing! They would dance and chant and throw their sticks around!It made me miss drumming so much and want to start doing it again! It would be awesome to be able to be a part of something like that! But I'm pretty sure they are all drum majors or something and that there is not much room for people who used to drum but have not for about 6 or 7 years. But it was awesome to watch! Sorry the picture is not really the best.
