Our First Camping Trip!

Yeah! It is finally getting warm enough to do things like go camping! (okay well, at least if you go to St. George) We went to Red Cliffs Recreation Area. It was so much fun to just get away for a while.

Of course as all vacations go, things did not go as planned. We got off really late, and ended up getting to the campground at about 10:30 pm. Well, I had not been to this place since I was little and so I didn't realize there were only like eight to ten camping spots, so of course by 10:30 at night on a weekend, all the spots were taken. So at this point we were halfway between Cedar City and St. George. We decided after already driving that far, we may as well go another hour and stay in a cheap hotel in Mesquite, you know one of those hotels that there are signs all along the way down there saying they are only $29.99 plus they will give you a $10 gas card. Well, we got two stories when we called the number. One was that those signs should no longer be up, and the other was that it was a weekday rate only. Either way, we were out of luck. Long story short, we found a hotel in Cedar City.

The next day we got up and decided to go hang out in St George which was a lot of fun. It was so nice there. Then as afternoon set in we headed to Red Cliffs again. We found a camping spot, and got things all set up and then went hiking and played in the water. We had a ton of fun. Anyway, here are some pics from our trip, sorry there are not very many.
